Why should you not take Pain Killers just like that?

Do you have any sort of pain in your body? How about having a simple painkiller like ibuprofen or diclofenac? Wait. Don’t just do that. Everyone tells you that it is okay to have one but according to a recent study it has been observed that people who took NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are at a greater risk of having a heart attack than those who do not. This risk is as high as 50% more. So it can be said that these painkillers aren’t as safe or simple as they are thought of.

According to CNN, “The level of risk increased as early as one week into the use of any drug in this category and at any dose, and the risk associated with taking higher doses was greatest within the first month.”

But there is nothing to worry about, to be frank. It has also been observed that when anyone stops using these medications then the risk starts to decline considerably. Short-term use of painkillers is still considered safe. The risk only starts after a week or so.

So, in short, it can be said that doctors, as well as patients, should closely look at these huge health risk factors before they decide to take these tablets in the long term.

The studies are still not over yet. More tests etc will be done to consider the implications of these very important findings. Not all of these factors could be taken into account as said by the researchers.

Please note that this is a piece of very important information and we encourage you to share this valuable info with your friends and family too. Everyone has the right to keep themselves happy and healthy.
