How to Insert and Display Code in WordPress Blog Post?

I have been working on WordPress blogs and websites for quite some time now (many years to be frank), but still, I find it quite complex, in a good way. Just like this time when I had to display some code inside a blog post but I did not know how to do it because I never actually had the need to do so until now.

I did some quick searches on the web but did not find much help. Either the ways told were complicated or the process was lengthy. I needed a quick way of doing so and so I found out about this plugin which is meant to achieve this task easily and quickly, just the way it is meant to be.

I know in another post of mine I said that not many plugins should be used on a WordPress site, but if there is a strong need for a feature then there is no harm in installing a required plugin. Since I write blogs about WordPress and I will be using this plugin often so I decided to install it.

Syntax Highlighter Evolved is a terrific plugin as it does the job in the exact intended manner. SyntaxHighlighter Evolved allows you to easily post syntax-highlighted code to your site without losing its formatting or making any manual changes.

If you want to show any kind of code on a WordPress post then you will need this plugin.

There are a couple of ways to use this plugin to work properly in WordPress. For different languages, there are different aliases that you can use.

You will find all relevant information about which all tags etc you can use to display various types of codes on the posts in the settings page of the plugin (after the installation and activation of the plugin).
