Ceramic Soap Dispenser turned into a showpiece using Paint and Sand

I have seen so many things available in the market that can be used to create something else. Just like what I did with this soap dispenser that I saw at a crockery store. When I saw it on the shelves, a thought immediately came to my mind that how awesome will it be to convert it to some sort of a decoration item. And that is how this idea turned into reality. I made it into a vase (of sorts), a showpiece.

The material I used were…

  1. Soap dispenser
  2. White and yellow acrylic colours
  3. Sand

And that is all.

As you can see in the video below that I used sand instead of baking soda as other DIYers have been doing so for some time now. Sand is first of all free, and then it was the only thing that was readily available to me. So at first I thought maybe this combo of sand a colour won’t work, but it did.

I am using this piece as a decor item in my living room and is loved by everyone. I will continue to find such beautiful things whenever i go to such stores.

Please watch the video and let me know in the comments if you liked or disliked this DIY.
